In May-June 2011, CPR undertook a major renovation in the luxury condominium in Raleigh, N.C., in which I now live. The work entailed completely replacing the kitchen interior with new cabinets, countertops, and tile backsplash; installing walls, recessed lighting in the living and dining room, a bedroom closet, and a linen closet. Chris Raneri, owner of CPR Construction, and his team completed the work on time and within budget. The resulting improvements harmonize perfectly with the existing luxury detail including crown molding, door details, fixtures, paint, and flooring.CPR construction was easy to work with, communicated well, and ensured that I was consulted on issues where my input was required. Chris came highly recommended from friends and his work did not disappoint! I only needed some fairly simple handy man jobs for replacing shingles and completing some door trim work. As a female, I was at a loss as to who I could call and more importantly who I could trust. I believe in networking with friends to find trustworthy people and I saw the professional job he did for my friends. But, I thought my job might be too small or would not take precedence over larger jobs. When my husband and I decided to remodel our master bathroom, we were both excited but also had some anxiety. We had heard horror stories of contractors doing shoddy work or taking customer's money without completing the work. When I first met Chris, my fear was immediately put aside. He provided an extensive list of referrals (from which I contacted several people) who all said the same thing – excellent to work with, very trustworthy, and an excellent craftsman. Several references also had used him more than once, which was a good sign for me. He also was very visible with a detailed website and a Linkedin profile. Chris provided us with a very detailed proposal, as opposed to something that was one page and vague. My husband and I decided to do the demolition work ourselves and Chris helped guide us through the process. In doing the demo work, we found extensive mold and Chris assisted us with how to get rid of the materials. During the construction process, Chris kept the work area very clean. Oftentimes we came home and didn't know Chris had been here until we looked in the bathroom. Chris was always available through text messages, phone calls, and e-mail and answered all of our questions. The project was completed within the timeframe that was quoted and was on budget (no surprising, hidden costs!). We're very, very pleased with the work and are looking at doing some additional projects with Chris. I would highly recommend CPR Construction to anyone.

I contacted CPR Construction when I was in need of a quote to address Inspection Report issues for the buyers of our home. Chris was neither the least expensive, nor the most expensive, but he “did” take the time to look at each issue in the report – no matter how trivial. He explained what needed to be done, if anything, and how it would be accomplished. He then issued a detailed quote in a very timely manner. When I called to ask him when he could start the repairs – the buyers had given us a week to get everything addressed – he and his crew were there within 48 hours. While performing the repairs, Chris informed me when closer inspection dictated that repairs were not needed. The repairs that were needed were very well done and the crew was very professional. I would HIGHLY recommend CPR Construction. As a matter of fact, I've already sent an email to my neighborhood newsgroup recommending this company.

Chris recently repaired some rain damaged siding on my house. He quickly diagnosed the problem, removed all the damaged material, replaced it to look like the original, solved the water flow problem and the price was right.
